Since 1948

A roadside produce stand. Then a nursery. Then a Texas Treasure.

My grandfather started selling peaches off the family farm in 1948 because the trees made more than the cattle. Seventy-seven years later, we're still here — three generations deep, five cats deep, more or less the same opinion about how to water tomatoes.

Here's the short version of how that happened.

Founder · The Produce Stand Years

Opened a roadside produce stand on the family farm in 1948 — peaches, pecans, and a stubborn opinion about how to water tomatoes. The stand became a nursery in the 1960s when he realized people kept asking him how to grow what they were buying.
